Try this mouthwatering Taco Bell Nacho Fries copycat recipe to get a taste of the fast food chain right in the comfort of your own home. Made with real potatoes, delicious spices, and a velvety nacho cheese sauce, these fries are perfect for any occasion.

Imagine fast food without the grease or the waiting or the paying. This nacho fries copycat recipe is the “No, there’s food at home” we wish our moms were talking about when we were younger.

Now, this isn’t just any kind of nacho fries; this is limited edition Taco Bell and TRUFF nacho fries. I’m not sure if you guys remember, but around 2021 and 2022, Taco Bell collaborated with TRUFF hot sauce to officially relaunch their signature nacho fries.

Alongside the classic, they had a variation called Loaded TRUFF Nacho Fries. These had the classic, crispy nacho fries covered in TRUFF sauce, marinated, grilled steak, nacho cheese sauce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream.

This collaboration was originally tested in TRUFF’s home state of California, but the promotion itself only lasted a few weeks at select locations.

Regardless, it would be a bummer for anyone to miss out on that combination of the warm, feel-good flavor of loaded nacho fries, which is why I recreated the recipe so you can enjoy it anytime, anywhere.

If you’re not familiar with TRUFF, they are the fastest-growing company in the hot sauce space. With a distinct flavor profile of truffle and a stunning bottle, TRUFF is a hot sauce with class. In fact, I find it to be one of the most addicting hot sauces out there. You can put it on anything from your pizza and your wings to your french fries.

Of course, every time I go to Taco Bell, they’re either sold out of nacho fries or they end up really cold and soggy by the time I get home and I need to put them in the air fryer anyway. So, I figured it was time to just share the recipe instead of bothering with ordering from them directly.

Why I Love This Taco Bell Copycat Recipe

The great thing about copycat recipes like this is that you can add extra cheese, get creative, or even just get picky – because it’s entirely yours and you don’t have to worry about being rude or inconvenient to a fast food worker.

For example, I make extra cheese sauce when I make this recipe because it’s such a versatile sauce! When I made this the first time, I ended up heating the cheese sauce the next day to dip some leftover restaurant sweet potato fries. I swear, you could even out it on burgers or dip chips into it. The possibilities are endless.

I personally think the amount you get from this recipe is perfect for the fries themselves, but go ahead and double it if you like extra cheesy loaded fries or want a chance to use the cheese sauce as a condiment on other foods!

Once you start making this super simple Nacho Fries Copycat Recipe, you’ll forget all about the actual food chain.
I’ve also made Taco Bell Fiesta Potatoes, so it’s just a matter of time before I end up running a homemade Taco Bell out of my house! Jokes aside, trust me when I say that these copycat fast food recipes are easy to make and even healthier and tastier with real, fresh ingredients.
