These spicy masala cheese fries are made from everyday ingredients, air fried and are ready in less time that it takes to get takeout. SO addicting, spicy, cheesy and is so easy to make at home. 

You can make these as spicy or cheesy as you like, its perfect for snacking or even dinner, don’t judge but I ate these in one sitting and wished I had made more. Feel free to sub the spices if you want a mild taste or if you’re making this for kids.

Masala Cheese fries

Description

These spicy masala fries are made from everyday ingredients, air fried and are ready in less time that it takes to get takeout. Addictively good, spicy, cheesy and are so easy to make at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potato  cut into wedges
  • ½ cup shredded yellow cheese
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp cayanne pepper
  • ½ tsp salt or black salt
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp tandoori masala
  • ¼ tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • cilantro for garnish

white chutney

  • ¼ cup  yogurt  regular or greek
  • ½ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • ½ tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp lemon
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F
  2. After cutting the potato into wedges, give them a good rinse. In a bowl add oil,seasonings and lemon juice, stir everything together and toss in the potato wedges. Toss and mix well until everything is well coated.
  3. In your air fryer basket, place your wedges and spread them out evenly as much as you can. DO NOT over crowd. Air fry for 15 mins. While the fries are cooking lets make the white garlic chutney.
  4. Once the fries are done, sprinkle on some cheese and place back in the air fryer for 30second to 1 mins until cheese is melted and nice and bubbly. Next drizzle on the white garlic chuntney and add chopped onions, garnish with cilantro and enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap out reg mayo for vegan and omit parm cheese to make this a vegan dish!
  • Add a little lasun nu much for added heat to the fries on top as garnish.
