Fall is not over until you’ve had these maple glazed cinnamon apple fritters! Trust me I know its a handful to say but its not a handful to make at all, there so easy and simple to whip up! Perfect with a cup of coffee or just as, these can be stored in a air tight container up to 5 days, but I’m pretty sure they won’t last long anyways.

Maple Glazed Cinnamon Apple Fritters

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ cup milk I used whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 apple diced

Maple Glaze

  • 1 cups powered sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon,nutmeg, and salt. Add the melted butter, cup milk, and eggs. Mix until you have a thick pancake batter like consistency. If the the batter feels thick, add 1/4 cup milk to thin. Fold in the apples.
  • Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drop tablespoons size balls of batter into the oil for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crisp on all sides. Remove and drain on a wire rack with paper towels underneath.
  • For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, maple, and vanilla. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters. Eat warm and enjoy!
