Call me old school but I still prefer date night over going out. Now don’t get me wrong I do love dressing up but I also love wearing comfy clothes and cooking in my own kitchen with some music on and a nice glass of wine in my hand.

With that being said, have I convinced you to do a date night at home this week? I will be very honest with you when I started doing date nights when we were getting so sick of the same recipes over and over again. I highly recommend changing things up, adding some fun apps or desserts into the mix. For us we started incorporating more fresher ingredients such as WildGrain pastas and breads!

WildGrain pasta’s are made with simple and fresh ingredients, no added preservatives or high fructose corn syrup, no GMO’s or even colors or dyes! It was so nice to see the ingredients listed clearly on all the packaging and know it was made by hand by real people! Aside from all the amazing ingredients, here’s something that really impressed me, the raspberry lemon biscuits and croissants have already come prepared and all you have to do is bake them! These two things were perfect for a little sweet snack after dinner but also carried over to breakfast the next day. It’s always nice to get double use out of a recipe but most importantly have it taste so fresh!

The 3 loaves of bread were perfect for sandwiches, toast and my garlic bread! Everything I received was vegetarian and made with unbleached flour. These are the small differences that make a major difference in our lives. Cleaner ingredients, easy subscriptions that you can change or cancel anytime and most importantly was the delivery. Every little step of the delivery was notified and delivered in one piece on dry ice.

I couldn’t recommend WildGrain any more, if you want to start your subscription now. Get $10 off your first order using code: thetableofspice

Using WildGrain fresh pasta I made my spicy Lousianna pasta dish! It’s a creamy cajun sauce that is loaded with mushrooms, yellow and red bell peppers, onions and freshly grated parmesan cheese to give it that nutty creaminess this sauce needs. I used WildGrain Fettuccine pasta for this recipe and it was perfect, added the pasta to some boiling water and cooked it for 4-5 mins and we have perfect al dente pasta! I did add the cooked pasta to the sauce and cooked it for an additional 3 mins, making sure every ounce of pasta was covered in the sauce and veggies. Garnish with some fresh parsley and enjoy with garlic bread on the side.

Since I did receive another pasta in my WildGrain box, I plan on using it very soon for another pasta dish! Along with some healthy and easy sandwiches using their sourdough loaf! If you have any fun suggestions that I can make using WildGrain fresh pasta or bread please let me know I would love to recreate them!
