Spicy Korean Ramen

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of ramen noodles
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic – minced or thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp chili crunch
  • 2 tbsp Korean hot sauce or gochujang paste
  • 1/3 heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  • Cook ramen noodles according to package direction and set aside.
  • In a pan melt the butter on med heat and add the garlic. Cook the garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Next add chili crunch and soy sauce.
  • Add the Korean hot sauce and give everything a good stir. Whisk in the heavy whipping cream and stir in the parmesan cheese. Taste for salt and add the noodles, make to toss the noodles in well so every little ounce is covered in this spicy sauce.
  • Plate and garnish with scallions, extra chili crunch and parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

  • I used Momofuku extra hot chili crunch but you can use traders Joe brand as well.
  • For extra heat add some crushed red pepper when your cooking the garlic to infuse the oil more.
