  • Author: Sweta Patel
  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810oz cooked pasta of choice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet Al Fresco roasted garlic chicken sausage
  • 1 small white onion – sliced
  • 1 small bell pepper – sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced or grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp calabrian chili paste
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1&1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt + pepper to taste

Instructions

 1. In a skillet over medium high heat, add the butter and olive oil. Next add the al fresco chicken sausage, I took the casing off and used my spatula to break it down into smaller pieces.
2. Next add the onions and peppers, cook this for 4 mins until they’re translucent. Into the pan add the soy sauce and minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
3. Add the calabrian chili and tomato paste, mix it until it’s well incorporated and add in the white wine. Deglaze the pan while the while wine if cooking. Next add the heavy whipping cream. Bring this to a low simmer and add in 1/4 of the parmesan cheese. Take off the heat and serve immediately. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you want this to be an alcoholic free recipe, replace the white wine with veggie or chicken broth.
  • I used dry white wine for cooking, it can be found in the aisle as salad dressing, oils and vinegar.
  • You can also use any dry white wine of choice that you have at home.
