Iced Peach Green Tea

Ingredients

  • 56 peaches – cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 cups water
  • 4 – Lipton green tea bags
  • 23 sprigs of mint (1015 mint leaves)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over med heat, add the diced peaches and cook for 2-3 mins until the peaches release some of its juices.
  2. Next add in the sugar and mash everything down with a potato masher or fork until sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the water and mint. Mix everything and bring a low simmer, once the mixture comes to a low simmer, turn off the stove and add the tea bags. Cover the pot with a lid and let the tea steep for 4-7 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags, and strain the tea into a pitcher and let it cool down to room temperature. Pour over ice and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use frozen peaches, but please let the peaches thaw out completely before adding them to the pot.
  • You can replace sugar with honey or agave.
