Homemade Peach Cobbler Ice Cream

  • Author: Sweta Patel
  • Total Time: 40
  • Yield: 1½ quarts (6 cups) or 10–12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Ice Cream Base

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup cane sugar
  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Peach Filling

  • 3 ripe peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cobbler Crumble

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter, cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

Instructions

1: Make the Ice Cream Base

In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, and cane sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture just begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.

Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool completely before churning.

Step 2: Cook the Peaches

In another saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced peaches and cook for 5–7 minutes until they begin to soften.

Stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon. Continue cooking until the peaches become tender and syrupy. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow to cool completely.

Step 3: Make the Cobbler Crumble

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and rolled oats. Mix until crumbly.

Spread onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely.

Step 4: Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the cooled ice cream base into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

During the last few minutes of churning (about 15–17 minutes total), slowly spoon in half of the cooked peach mixture.

Step 5: Layer & Freeze

Transfer one layer of ice cream into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container.

Top with some of the remaining peach mixture and a generous sprinkle of cobbler crumble. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used. Freeze for 3–6 hours, or overnight for the best texture. Scoop, serve, and enjoy every creamy, peach-filled bite!
