Ginger bread loaf with orange maple glaze
Ginger bread loaf is pretty much a cozy hug we all need! The warm spices and the taste of gingerbread + orange maple glaze is a Christmas party in your mouth! I enjoyed this with a hot cut of coffee but you can totally make this has a holiday dessert instead and serve it with some hot coco!

Gingerbread loaf
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup apple sauce
- 1&½ cup flour
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground clove
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Orange maple glaze
- 1 cup powered sugar
- 1 tsp freshly grated orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp milk
Gingerbread loaf
Preheat ove to 350°F and line or spray your bread loaf pan with non stick cooking spray - set aside.
In a bowl, add melted butter and sugar, combine until its well incorporated. Next add the egg, apple sauce, spices and baking soda. Mix mix mix!
Add the flour and using a rubber spatula, fold everything in until well incorporated. Transfer batter into the bread loaf pan and bake for 45 mins or until the center is cooked.
