Roasted Garlic Broccoli Alfredo

This recipe is near and dear to me because growing up my sister and I would make this ALL the time!! Now at the time we did use jarred alfredo sauce, but now that we know how easy and delicious it is to make a home made version, we’ve never went back to jarred sauces again!

As you all know, I love my Caraway pots and pans, and I wanted to share discount code with you all, click here to purchase the pots and pans I own!

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup white onion finely diced
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper each
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 6oz pasta of choice

Instructions

  • Boil pasta accordingly to the instructions on the back of the package. Sliced the top of the garlic bulb and drizzle with olive oil and salt, wrap in foil and bake at 400°F for 10 mins or until garlic is brown and roasted.
  • In a large sauce pan, heat up the butter and add the onions, cook for 2 mins. Next squeeze out the roasted garlic from the bulb and add to the pan.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and stir everything until the raw flour is completely cooked down. Add in the seasonings, milk and Parmesan Cheese. Stir everything together until you have a lump free sauce, add the broccoli, stir and cover the pan with a lid. Turn the heat down to the low and let sauce simmer for 4-6 mins.
  • Add the pasta to the sauce, grate more Parmesan Cheese on top and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can roast the garlic in the air fryer at 400F for 7 -10 mins.
