Paneer kati rolls should be part of your dinner menu this week, they take no more than 30 mins to prep + and cook all together and make the perfect leftovers. Now you can make roti from scratch for this recipe but I opted to use frozen Kawan paratha. I did have the cilantro green chili chutney already made along with my halal guys white sauce.
Paneer Kati Rolls
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 1 14oz paneer cut into bite size cubes
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger/garlic paste
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Ground coriander
- 1 tsp dried fenugreek
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp salt
Toppings
- 1 small red onion sliced
- ¼ cup cilantro chopped
- cilantro + green chili chutney
- white sauce
- 4 Kawan Paratha
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the oil, yogurt and spices together until well combined and you have a nice paste like consistency. Next add the paneer and toss everything gently making sure each paneer piece is covered in the mixture.
- Heat up a hot skillet or cast iron pan on med/high heat. Drizzle some oil and carefully add the paneer to the pan. Do not over crowd, cook in 2 batches if needed. Cook the paneer until golden brown.
- Next cook the paratha and start assembling. Place the Partha on a plate, spread some green chutney and add some paneer. Next layer with sliced onions and chopped cilantro, drizzle it with some white sauce and roll the Paratha, cut in half and enjoy!
