Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 cups flour (use bread flour for extra protein)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 jalapeños, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Flour, baking powder, salt and Greek yogurt. 
  3. Add in the diced jalapeños and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until a dough forms, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a rope, then shape into a bagel.
  5. Place the shaped bagels onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing and enjoying with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

You can swap out the egg wash for milk to make this an egg free recipe.
