Ingredients
- 2 cups Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or 2%)
- 2 cups flour (use bread flour for extra protein)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 jalapeños, diced
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Flour, baking powder, salt and Greek yogurt.
- Add in the diced jalapeños and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until a dough forms, ensuring even distribution.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a rope, then shape into a bagel.
- Place the shaped bagels onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and enjoying with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Notes
You can swap out the egg wash for milk to make this an egg free recipe.
