Nutella Baklava Pastry Knots

Ingredients

  • 1 package pillsbury puff pastry 
  • 1/4 cup each: walnuts, pistachios, pecans 
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon and nutmeg 
  • 1/3 cup nutella 
  • Pistachio spread 
  • powdered sugar 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Into a food processor add walnuts, pistachios, pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg, pulse a couple times until everything is finely ground. 
  3. Roll out the first sheet of puff pastry and spread on that Nutella, followed by a generous sprinkle of the ground nut mixture. 
  4. Layer on the 2nd sheet of puff pastry and cut into strips. ( I had 12 strips) Twist and roll and tuck the ends into the middle. 
  5. Bake for 12-15 mins and let it cool before drizzling on the pistachio spread and powdered sugar. Enjoy!
