Masala Burgers

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 large Potatoes boiled
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs 
  • 1 cup frozen veggies (thawed)
  • 1/2 onion minced 
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 green chili (jalapeño or Serrano) finely minced
  • ½ juice of lemon
  • 2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp garam masala

Additional Toppings for Burger

  • burger buns or sliders
  • lettuce chopped
  • Tomatoes sliced
  • onions sliced
  • pickles
  • pepper jack cheese
  • Condiments of choice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl using a fork or potato masher, mash the potatoes, add all the spices and vegetables. Mix everything until it’s well combined.
  2. Mix in the bread crumbs and form small burgers and place on a hot greased skillet, flip the burgers over after 2-3 mins, add some cheese and cover the pan with lid. Once cheese is melted, place the burgers on the bottom bun and add your toppings. Enjoy!
