Nothing sings the summer’s anthem louder than the sweet sizzle of a grill and the succulent aroma of BBQ chicken wafting through the air. This season, take your taste buds on an unprecedented journey with the magic of our Hot Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich. This masterpiece only requires three simple ingredients to marinate, yet it brings a world of taste to your palate. Say goodbye to the ordinary and hello to extraordinary with this sizzling sensation!
Imagine BBQ sauce with a luscious texture, soaking into each crevice of a tender chicken breast, embracing it like the sea cradles a pebble. To this rich, tangy base, we introduce hot honey – a sweet-spicy concoction that teases your senses, playing a high-stakes game of hide and seek between fiery heat and syrupy sweetness. But the extravaganza doesn’t end there. Chipotle sauce makes a grand entrance, its smoky undertones elevating the flavor profile to a realm that’s the stuff of legends.
These three powerhouses join forces to marinade your chicken, infusing it with a depth of flavor that’s simply unmatchable. And the best part? You can marinate it in advance! The longer it luxuriates in this delectable marinade, the more intense and intricate the flavors become. The result is a grilled chicken that’s not just a food, but an experience, a memory painted in bold strokes of heat, sweetness, and smoky decadence.
Pair this dazzling star of the summer with our homemade Jalapeño cilantro lime coleslaw. This is not your average coleslaw. A symphony of flavors awaits within its crunchy, creamy folds. The spicy kick of jalapeño dances with the fresh, earthy notes of cilantro, while a zesty lime undertone binds it all together, creating a harmonious medley that will keep your taste buds on their toes.
The beauty of this coleslaw isn’t just in its vibrant flavors, but also its convenience. You can prepare it in advance, and trust me, this isn’t a dish that wilts with time. Instead, it marinates and matures, the flavors marrying together, growing stronger and more tantalizing the longer it waits.
So, on a blazing summer day when the sun is high and the sky is clear, fire up the grill. Let the Hot Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich be the star of your backyard picnic, a culinary maestro conducting an orchestra of flavors in perfect harmony. Let it serenade your senses, taking you on a whirlwind tour from the smoky depths of chipotle to the soaring heights of hot honey.
With every bite of the sandwich, relish the smooth glide of BBQ-marinated chicken against the crispy crunch of jalapeño cilantro lime coleslaw. It’s a juxtaposition of textures, a testament to the wonder that is the Hot Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich.
In its simplicity lies its brilliance, and in its convenience, its charm. This summer, make it your signature dish, the talk of the town, the piece de resistance. Your grill is ready, your ingredients are waiting, and a world of flavor awaits you in the Hot Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich.

I marinate the chicken and store it in a ziplock bag for easy clean up.

Mikes hot honey is also a great choice for this recipe, I used a local brand that I love but use what you love and have! If you don’t have hot honey, simply mix 3 tsp cayenne pepper with honey and add that into the marinate.
