Greek Chicken Burgers
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 small red bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped dill
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Mediterranean citrus seasoning mix
Tzatziki Slaw
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp chopped dill
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 clove garlic grated
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
- 1/2 cucumber grated, squeeze out all the extra liquid
- salt pepper
- 1/2 bag of coleslaw mix.
- Buns of choice
- Hummus of choice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, red bell pepper, spinach, red onion, dill, minced garlic, and Mediterranean citrus seasoning mix. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Form the mixture into patties of desired size.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the chicken burger patties on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Flip the patties only once to ensure they cook evenly. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- In a bowl, combine everything for the tzatziki slaw and set aside.
- Toast your buns of choice, spread some hummus on the bottom bun, add the burger and top it off with the tzatziki slaw. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can serve this with my rosemary garlic fries or any of these.
- Add some crumble feta into the burgers.
- You can also skip the hummus and add my spicy whipped feta
- You can find greek or Mediterranean seasoning mix at any grocery store.
