Garlic Chutney Noodles

If you love spicy + garlicky noodles and don’t have much time to spare, these noodles will not only hit the spot but will be made within mins! I used lasun nu marchu (garlic pepper) my mom made for this recipe but I did try out the recipe with store bought lasun nu murch (linked here) or (linked here) and it came out delicious! Either route you take, home made or store bought these noodles will have fiery kick, heat and abundance of flavor!

If you can’t find any store bought garlic chutney you can make it at home with these simple ingredients. Heat 1 tbsp canola or avocado oil, in a bowl mix 3 tbsp grated garlic, 2 tsp red chili powder and 1 tsp red crushed pepper and pour the oil over the mixture and use this in the recipe below.

Garlic Chutney Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 package noodles *see notes
  • 2 tbsp lasun nu murchu (indian garlic pepper) *see notes
  • ¼ cup scallions sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic grated or finely minced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil any nuetral cooking oil
  • salt to taste
  • chopped cilantro for garnish or addtional taste

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package, drain and rinse. Place cooked noodles in a bowl and add the lsaun nu murchu, scallions, garlic, sesame seeds, toasted sesame oil, soy sauce, and salt. Do not mix everything in with the noodles.
  2. Heat oil on med high heat for 2-4 mins. Once oil is hot pour mainly over the garlic and lasun nu murch. Once oil is poured, mix everything together add cilantro and enjoy! You can garnish with crushed peanuts as well for an added crunch!

Notes

  • These are the noodles I used for this recipe and I LOVED them! I found them at my local grocery store in the International section.
  • I like to place my garlic and lasun murch next to each other because its easier when you pour the oil on top.
  • You can definitely replace soy sauce with coconut aminos.
