Ingredients
French Onion Dip
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar reg sugar is fine as well
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayo
- ¼ cup chives finely chopped
Instructions

In a cast iron skillet over med high heat, add the butter and let it melt.

Next add the onions and cook for 5-7 mins on med/low heat until it starts to become translucent.

Next add all the seasoning and cook the mixture down for another 3-5 mins. Take it off the stove and let it cool down for a bit.

In a bowl mix the sour cream and mayo. Add the onion mixture followed by the chives. Mix everything together until it’s well combined. You can serve as is or place in an airtight container in the fridge and serve it with some potato chips! Enjoy!
Notes
- You can use dairy free sour cream and vegan mayonnaise for this recipe along with coconut aminos for the substitution of soy sauce for a vegan/dairy free version.
