This delicious one-pot Ravioli Soup is one of the best soups you’ll ever have. Not only is it extremely easy to make, but it is a little different than your average dinner recipe. Made with any ravioli of your choice, delicious Italian herbs, and a hearty broth packed with nutrients and flavor, you’ll never look at soup (or pasta!) the same again.
Soup is delicious almost any time of year. A hot, hearty soup is especially satisfying during the chillier months (or when you’re feeling under the weather) when you just want to curl up with something warm and enjoy a nice, filling meal.
This Easy Homemade Ravioli Soup is one of my favorites for literally any season, because it’s the best of both worlds (cue the Hannah Montana) of pasta and soup.
The best part about this soup is that it can be made very easily. Of course, like all things, the more fresh your ingredients, the better this will taste. However, you could pull literally everything out of the freezer and still make this bad boy. (If you happen to use frozen spinach, just make sure to thaw it out and remove any excess water.)
Now, this soup is not just ravioli with really watery pasta sauce, I promise. Ravioili can sometimes not feel satisfying enough, or even filling enough on its own. Plus, you rarely get a nutritious meal out of ravioli with pasta sauce.
The textures and flavors in this soup bring out a lovely experience to the traditional pasta dish. My recipe also includes spinach, so you can get some of those greens in your meal. You can also always add other vegetables, like zucchini, carrots, etc. to make it healthier.
If you want a little protein added, I suggest a nice Italian or plant-based sausage to pair well with the rest of the ingredients.
Why I Love this Ravioli Soup
Who can resist a one-pot recipe? Simple and easy meals like this one mean less dishes and less clean up, so I absolutely recommend whipping out this recipe on a busier day of week. I
usually make this soup on Sundays because my Mondays are usually super busy. It’s always nice to have a filling soup to eat when I don’t have much time to cook.
It’s also convenient (and still delicious) because you can make this soup ahead of time and freeze it after it cools down, making it an extremely freezer-friendly healthy recipe. You can stock up on it for those days you’re lazy, sick, or traveling and have other mouths to feed.
Whatever the case, it’s a great soup to fill you up and leave you satisfied any time of day. I like to take it out of the freezer and place it in my slow cooker for an hour or two on low.
If you’re not planning on storing it, you can still make it ahead of time! In fact, I like to make this Ravioli Soup a day before because it allows the flavors to fully absorb. The best part is all you have to do is zap it in the microwave and it’s ready to enjoy in minutes.
If you don’t have ravioli on hand, this recipe works equally well with tortellini! Whether you use cheese-filled, mushroom-filled, or lobster-filled ravioli/tortellini, this soup will taste amazing.
If you’re looking to round out this soup with some sides to make a complete meal, I highly recommend pairing this Ravioli Soup with a Mason Jar Salad (also easy to store and/or make ahead of time) or some Garlic Bread. You can try any of my garlic bread recipes, including:

Great soup! I added 3 Italian sausage links and it was very filling 🙂 also didn’t have the bomba sauce so I used a Calabrian pepper pesto instead.
