40 Minutes

Sponsored by Walmart Every week I get my groceries delivered for free using my Walmart+  membership. I’ve been a member for almost a year now and it’s so convenient to order fresh groceries from my local Walmart and select my time slots for free same day delivery on any orders over $35 (restrictions apply). Not only does this give me so much time but also gives me time to plan out meals and sometimes when I need something last minute I can count on my membership to have my order arrive the same day, especially now with the grilling season!!

A few days I craving a Bombay sandwich (Indian street food)  but of course I was missing half of the ingredients and tools I needed to bake! The membership not only allows me to order my groceries but even mixing bowls and spatulas!! I mean it doesn’t get better than that! Being a Walmart+ member I was able to quickly place an order, select a convenient time slot of delivery and enjoy free same day delivery twice in one week!

Start your free 30-day Walmart+ trial today by visiting Walmartplus.com, after your trial is over you can pay $12.95 per month or $98 per year. The Walmart+  membership pays for itself with two deliveries per month (based on the $7.95 delivery fee)

Scale
  • 1 loaf white bread remove the crust
  • butter
  • Cilantro green chutney
  • 1 8oz cream cheese or shredded amul cheese
  • chaat masala
  • 2 potato boiled and sliced
  • 2 beet boiled and sliced
  • 2 tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • Maggi hot & sweet sauce

Instructions

  1. Take 3 slices of bread and spread butter on all 3. Next, layer the bottom piece of bread with potatoes, tomatoes and sprinkle on the chaat masala.
  2. Spread green chutney to the 2nd piece of bread and place that on top of the piece with the Potatos and tomatoes.

On this green chutney piece of bread, you’ll add beets, onions and cucumbers.

  3. Top off the double decker sandwich off with the last piece of bread that has butter spread on it. Add shredded Amul cheese or grate cream cheese, add some Maggi hot and spicy sauce and sprinkle with more chaat masala. Cut into 4’s and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you can’t find any Maggi hot & spicy sauce, you can use sriracha instead.
  • Place the block of cream cheese in the freezer for 20 mins prior to making this sandwich, you want the cheese to be a little firm.
  • If you can’t find shredded amul cheese, you can use the cream cheese method or American cheese (sliced or shredded)
  • For the bread I used pepperidge farm very thin white bread.
