Parle – G Pecan Pie Brownies

These Parle-G Pecan Pie Brownies are going to have you hooked. With a chewy chocolate brownie and pecan pie base and a Parle-G cookie crust, this simple Indian fusion dessert recipe is going to have you hooked – and it’s going to take less than an hour to make.

This simple recipe for Parle-G Pecan Pie Brownies is going to make you the unanimous crowd-favorite. In just under an hour, create the best brownies ever – with a twist.

There is no dessert more classic than the brownie. However, if you’ve ever had or made brownies for a party, you know people take their textures and consistency very seriously. (I am personally Team Chewy, but some people like their brownies to be more cakey.)

But the best part about a fusion dessert recipe is that they become the life of the party every time – simply for its creativity. In other words, you don’t have to cater to everyone’s favorite way to make these Parle-G Pecan Pie Brownies.

I know combining three different dessert classics into one may sound overwhelming, but I promise, I have you covered. I’ve come up with shortcuts to help you make this come together with ease.

You can always use a homemade brownie recipe, but my favorite way to make brownies is with boxed brownie mix from Foodstirs. Not only will you get a great consistency, but you’ll be using a box mix that is much healthier and made with cleaner ingredients than your average brownie mix.

No matter where you live, there is something iconic about a Southern Pecan Pie, especially around the autumn season. It is a staple of Southern cooking and a widely known favorite around Thanksgiving.

Pecan pies are known for their rich, buttery crust. I thought this would be the best way to fold in a little piece of my culture. Rather than a simple butter crust, I added Parle-G biscuits for a twist.

If you are South Asian or Indian, you may know the popularity of Parle-G. Primarily enjoyed as a tea, or chai, time snack, Parle-G is one of the oldest brand names in India.

Of course, fusion desserts are one of my favorites around here, so I thought – go big or go home. In addition to the Parle-G Pecan Pie crust, I’ve added a generous layer of fudgy brownie mix.

Tips & Tricks

Whether you’re cooking for a party or making a sweet treat for yourself, there are plenty of creative liberties you can take with recipes. I encourage you to get creative, make this your own, and have fun with all the possibilities.

Here are some of my brownie tips and tricks:

  • Replace the water with milk, and the oil with butter when using a store-bought brownie mix. This will help you get really fudgy and rich brownies.
  • Alternatively, if you prefer a cakey brownie, you can use a chocolate cake mix and just whip the batter for additional 2-3 mins, until it’s light and fluffy.
  • Replace 1 egg with 1/4 cup yogurt to make these eggless brownies.

No matter how you end up making these brownies, I can promise you it is one of the most easy and delicious desserts I’ve ever made. If you love pecan pie, brownies, and/or Parle-G biscuits, then you will especially enjoy this recipe.

Notes

  • I love to use food stirs brownie mix over any brand because of how healthy and clean it is! But you can use any boxed brownie mix you like or use my homemade recipe here
  • If you want a thicker cookie crust just double the amount of cookies and butter for a thicker crust.
  • Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
