Pickled Red Onions

tangy, spicy pickled red onions made in under 20 mins and served with many Indian dishes and meat dishes.

Pickled red onions have became my latest obsession, and its not because of how easy it is to make it. Its really because of how much flavor and texture it adds to any dish! I always thought pickled red onions was made for meat dishes such as pork but when I made these couple weeks ago I saw my self adding these delicious goodness to everything from avocado toast to my Indian meals!

Ingredients

  • 1 Large red onion sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup applecider vinegar
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan, add the water, apple cider vinegar, salt & black pepper corns. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Add sliced red onions to a mason jar.
  • Pour the mixture into the jar and mix it around until all the onions are coated in the mixture.
  • Let this sit for 30mins before using and store in the fridge after using.
