Atlanta Eats

As many of you know, I live in Savannah and Atlanta is only a 3 hr drive from us. The couple of times I’ve been to Atlanta I alway go to my usual spots but this time I wanted to try some new spots so I asked ya’ll what where the best spots to eat in ATL and you guys did not disappoint!

I wasn’t joking when I said bring your stretchy pants, Atlanta has some of the best food around, they have so many different cuisines, food trucks, small business owners, and so much more!

PONCE CITY MARKET (Food Cafeteria)

If you really can’t decide on where to eat or you have a crowd of people who want different things to eat, ponce city market and Krogs st Market is the place to be. With over 20 restaurants that will satisfy anyones tastebuds these two places are large food courts that have some of the best foods!

KROG ST MARKET (Food Cafeteria)

Krog st market had the best Korean chicken cheesesteak from Freds meat and bread. It was so good I went there twice, I promise you its one of the best chicken cheese steaks I’ve ever had, the sweet and spicy candied jalapeños, the spicy Korean sauce and the melt in your mouth fresh bread they use, I swear I can drool just thinking about it. They also have a vegetarian burger along with some amazing chocolate chip cookies and great burgers (husband approved). We also had Jenni’s ice cream before we left because you really can’t say no to Jennis.

SUPERICA (Mexican – Tex Mex)

With 4 different locations, Superica is a restaurant that doesn’t need a introduction but since I’m already talking about it, let me tell you the pros and cons about this place. Theres no reservations that can be made, you must go online and put on the wait list which can definitely take some time. Also this place is Tex Mex so don’t think you’ll be getting authentic Mexican food which leads me to tell you that the salsa’s are not like a typical Mexican restaurant, the salsa’s are different but good just like the drinks! This is a fun lively place where you can grab some good Tex Mex food or just enjoy some small plates and drinks.

BOMB BISCUIT ATLANTA (Breakfast)

If you’re already in the area, I highly recommend you go to Bomb biscuits! I could dream about there buttery soft pillow like biscuits all day and not to mention the pimento cheese… OH MY GOD. If I could eat the breakfast at bomb biscuits everyday I would die as a happy person, my husband got there bacon egg and cheese and he said it was great because of the homemade biscuits, fresh eggs and crispy bacon! I on the other hand not only devoured my pimento cheese biscuit but also inhaled the fresh cinnamon rolls, when I tell you this is the one spot ya’ll have to go to, PLEASE GO ASAP!

FORZA STORICO & ANTICO (Italian food)

Some of my favorite Italian restaurants are in Atlanta, I know its hard to believe but trust me ya’ll, fresh pasta and brick oven pizza that melts in your mouth..I mean who’s really going to say no to that! Antico has a small menu but a GOOD one, they use real San Marzano tomatoes, fresh ingredients and real brick ovens from Italy! The one thing I love about this place is that they always a small station with fresh garlic, crushed red pepper and olive oil to add to your pizza! If you want to skip pizza and try some fresh pasta, chicken and other protein filled dishes you must try Forza Storico! They have fresh pasta that’s made daily and amazing vegetarian options, the sauces are so different and good, you can almost lick the bowl haha.

THE GARDEN ROOM (Drinks)

For a fun place to grab some drinks before or after dinner, definitely check out The garden room! This place is Instagram worthy or shall I say Instagram goals? Everything from the ceilings to chairs and drinks this place is such a VIBE. They do have small plates and recently started brunch, so check it out if you’re in the area or just want a cool place to go take some Instagram pictures.

TABLA & CHAT PATTI (Indian food)

Now you’ll know I couldn’t leave ATL without some good Indian food, I’m talking good old street food and a nice sit down place for quite dinner. Both of these places were amazing in their own way and would definitely go again. Chow Patti really had some of the best Dosa’s, pani puri, Manchurian, noodles and the best Bombay sandwich! This place was definitely fast in service and they had food made daily aka fresh and service was really fast. We were in and out of this place in 30 mins and our bellies full. But if you want a nice sit down place for dinner, I highly recommend you go to Tabla, they have different items on their menu such as sweet potato bhel, basil lehsuni chicken tikka and much more.

KAYA VINYARDS

To end our trip we took a 1.5 hr drive up north and went to go see the waterfalls and then enjoy the rest of the afternoon at Kava vineyards. Kava vineyards was a dream, so peaceful, great views and some good small plates. I highly recommend going here if you have time, its such a great place to sit, sip and catch the views. You can purchase bottles of their wine which are priced reasonably or drink by the glass.
