Boston Eats

Boston has a thriving food scene and aside from the rich history and the thick Boston accent, theres so much for everyone. The north end if known for the old school Italian food and cannolis that are filled with creamy ricotta filling but don’t forget to wear your stretch pants because the pasta dishes in the north end will leave you in a coma.

Quincy Market

Also known as Faneuil Hall Marketplace, this is one spot you must go and visit! Everything from live music, to small shops and of course the endless food scene is what this place is all about. This place is filled with 18 restaurants and 35 eateries of all different types of cuisines. One of the most popular spots include Boston Chowda Co, they have the best calm chowder but also my favorite the Boston corn chowda!

Mike’s Pastry

This is most popular dessert spot in all of Boston, Mike’s Pastry is loved by tourists and locals alike. Get ready to wait in line, because they can be long but SO worth it. It’s one of the oldest spots that has been serving the best cannolis, but if you want to try another spot that has a less wait time try out Modern Pastry as well.

Boston Burger Company

If you want crazy good combinations of milkshakes, burgers and fries this is your place to go! I use to go here when I went college in Boston, and when ever I wanted a good veggie burger or just basket of fries this was my place to be.

Toro

A really food tapas place, good music and some of the best small dishes I’ve had. From so many amazing dishes and fresh flavors, this place had such great garlic shrimp, elote style corn, olive and cheese board with endless selections of wines and fun cocktails.

Sweet Cheeks Q

I have so many memories of going to this place for lunch when I worked In the city, its good southern food in the city. The biscuits are to die for, I use to get basket of biscuits and literally devour them with the sweet butter they would serve on the side.

Empire

Located in the seaport area, this is a great modern asian restaurant that has some AMAZING drinks but also food as well. I’ve been here countless times and it never gets old. They have such a great watermelon drink that I seriously crave all the time, it’s a massive drink that comes with a whole watermelon so hopefully you have a few people who are willing to help you finish it.

Lolita’s Mexican

I’ve been here enough to tell you exactly what to get, this place is really good but get ready for a long reservation list. It took me weeks to get on the list but once I did I knew to always make reservations to this place well in advance. The griddled corn bread, spicy artichoke empanadas and hot queso dip are just a few of the apps I love to order. But they do have a brunch, lunch and dinner menu so if you can’t make it for dinner you should definitely make it for one of those times above.

Florina Pizzeria & Paninoteca

Everything from pizza to pastas and lasanga this place has it all, but seriously get a little bit of everything. Eggplant parm and the and house Florina salad is delicious. Eggplant rollatini and the rigatoni is usually what I get with a large cheese pizza. I know it may sound basic but the fresh ingredients really make a difference in their food and you honestly don’t need much.

Just an East/West coast girl living the southern life. I love sharing all my tested and perfected recipes here, along with some travel guides and a little bit of my lifestyle
