If Savannah is on your bucket list and its place you’ve been wanting to visit for a while, don’t wait any longer and book your flight!
I moved to Savannah 4 years ago and I know many people say it takes 7 years for a place to become your home but for me, Savannah became a home instantly. The souther hospitality, the food and amazing weather really were just the cherry on top for me. Savannah is a beautiful place to come visit with family, or a girls weekend! I’ve hosted a bachelorette, girls weekend and even had a lot of my family come down and visit with kids.
Frali Gourmet is the best Italian restaurant you will go to in Savannah, with the home made pasta’s, imported cheese from Italy and not to mention Italian desserts, this place is a dream. The owner is from Italy and believes everything should be made with love and from scratch. Nothing disappoints at this restaurant, everything is fresh and made to order!
If you want a nice sit down restaurant, for date night or even to host a good group Pacci is your spot! The menu changes often depending on the season and because its farm to fresh, which also makes it 100 amazing! Everything is fresh and unique, from flavors to the aroma, Pacci is such a great place to grab dinner.
My husband and I LOVE pizza, but who doesn’t? Good pizza does exist in the south and let me tell you after a night or day of drinking these pizza places really hit the spot. Vinnie Van Go Go’s is the best pizza, the slices are massive, it’s a mix of NYC floppy pizza but the crispy-ness of dominos thin and crispy. They make the dough the night before and let it rise over night, freshly grated cheese and it’s all cooked in a brick oven! You can eat inside or outside at the tables right in middle of Market Street where you can hear live music, and a couple doors down they have savannah wine, where you can find beers, wine and amazing drinks to accompany your pizza!
Squirrel Pizza, is also an amazing place to go, the cheese is so addicting, great consistency of dough and really good options for toppings. They also have appetizers, sandwiches, salads etc! Great place to sit down and enjoy a nice meal.
If you want a quick bite to eat or on the go, Cafe M is a new spot that has great breakfast/lunch sandwiches, salad, soups and even cheeseboards! They have fresh baked goods and pastries!
Java Burrito Company is one of my favorite places to grab GOOD, CLEAN Mexican food! It’s very similar to Chipotle but they work with so many local farms for the freshest ingredients! The peach salsa and the potato hash is amazing! You can make breakfast bowls, or even lunch bowls! I love to add a little bit of the potato hash into my Mexican bowl because it’s seasoned so well and it gives the bowl such a cozy taste and feel! They also have a great coffee bar with fresh baked goods and pastries.
The two places I highly recommend for breakfast/brunch in SAV are Collins Quarter and Rise Biscuits. Collins Quarter (they have 2 locations) the Forsyth location is my favorite! Aside from the amazing view, this place has some of the best drinks, brunch items and a lot of vegan options!
Rise Biscuits is the one place you MUST GO! Biscuits, donuts and the best fried chicken on a biscuit will have you running!! I’m not going to lie my favorite thing to get there is a fried green tomato on a biscuit with pimento cheese, OMG it’s delicious!
Some of my favorite coffee shops have some of the coolest things, such a Paris Market, once you walk in you’ll feel like you have entered Paris! They have the cutest coffee shop where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, latte etc along with a pastry or you can take the coffee to go and walk around the 2 story building and enjoy the amazing shop inside. This place is my favorite and I always find cute things for my kitchen here!
Whether you’re coming for one week or a girls’ getaway, there are so many fun places to discover & eat!
