If you’re a fan of Indo-Chinese cuisine, chili paneer is probably high on your list of favorite dishes. The good news? You can recreate this popular restaurant dish at home in less time than it takes to order takeout! With just a few key ingredients and a streamlined process, you can enjoy perfectly spiced, saucy chili paneer in under 30 minutes. Here’s how.

Ingredients to Have Ready

Chili paneer relies on simple, pantry-friendly ingredients for bold flavor and that classic Indo-Chinese flair. Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Paneer: The star of the dish. Pre-cut cubes save time.
  • Veggies: Bell peppers, onions, and green chilies bring texture and heat.
  • Sauces: Soy sauce, chili sauce, and ketchup form the base of the sauce.
  • Spices: Garlic, ginger, and a dash of black pepper complete the flavor profile.

Quick Prep Tips

  1. Prep Ahead: Chop all veggies and paneer beforehand. This reduces your active cooking time.
  2. Sauce Ready to Go: Mix soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, and a splash of water in a small bowl for quick use.

Pro Tips for Success

  • For Extra Crispiness: Use an air fryer or bake the paneer cubes for a healthier alternative that still delivers crunch.
  • Adjust Heat Levels: Customize the spice by increasing or decreasing the green chilies and chili sauce.
  • Serve Immediately: Chili paneer is best served fresh, ensuring the paneer stays crispy.

How to Serve

Chili paneer is versatile! Enjoy it as an appetizer or pair it with fried rice or noodles for a complete meal. For a low-carb option, serve it over cauliflower rice or lettuce cups.

Making restaurant-style chili paneer at home doesn’t have to be intimidating or time-consuming. With this easy method, you can whip up a crowd-pleasing dish that’s full of flavor and perfect for any occasion.
